The new residential ensemble on Pasteurstrasse (four residential buildings and a supermarket) is located in the quiet Bötzowkiez neighborhood near Prenzlauer Allee in the Berlin district of Prenzlauer Berg.

The building gap closure, which was realized as a building owners’ association with 51 residential units, consists of four different buildings and integrates the formerly free-standing supermarket into the first floor of the front building. It is an inner-city redensification, but above all the repair of a damaged city.

While the front building extends over four plots and thus complements the existing street edge of Wilhelminian-style buildings, the three garden houses are grouped around the central communal garden courtyard, which is located on the roof of the supermarket.

To the side of the buildings, adjacent to the neighboring properties, four smaller courtyards are being created. The result is a new complex, a sequence of five courtyards that differ in size, shape and use.

The apartments were fitted by us with aluminum windows in the system Schüco AWS 75 system. Furthermore, aluminum lift-and-slide units in the system Schüco ASE 80 system. The supermarket on the ground floor was fitted with mullion-transom façades in the Schüco FWS 50 system.
