TIMM W 79 I

Purist, double-skin integral timber window

The TIMM W 79 I double-skin timber integral window is visually impressive with its extremely narrow face widths and fully concealed integral sash. The large glass surfaces thus support the requirements of design-oriented architecture.

  • Minimalist design with ultra-slim face widths for state-of-the-art architecture
  • 80 mm faceplate view and 100 mm transom or mullion view for timeless design and stylish elegance
  • Fully concealed integral sash for maximum glazed areas and minimum maintenance requirements
  • Glazing bead-free, sharp-edged sash appearance with a sash face width of only 60 mm is unique for timber windows
  • Rounded edges of 1 mm on the inside meet the architects' design requirements for the sharpest possible edges
  • Optionally available with milled, flush-mounted window handles and push-in handles with minimized rosette
  • The outer, double-shell solid wood cover allows the use of untreated or modified wood for natural weathering
  • External glazing without glazing beads for fixed glazing to maximize glass fronts
  • The unique selling point is the option of supplying a glass balustrade that is tested by the building authorities and invisibly integrated as fall protection
  • Barrier-free with absolute zero threshold for a highly comfortable, trip-free transition between inside and outside
  • Tilt and turn windows with integrated gap ventilation as standard
  • Opaque ventilation sashes, available as side-hung sashes
  • High sound insulation possible
  • Excellent thermal insulation thanks to an intelligent combination of materials, including passive house suitability
  • Tested burglar resistance up to RC2

Highlights

Thanks to our many years of experience in the construction of listed buildings, our timber window constructions have always been developed with the narrowest face widths.

The TIMM W 79 I double-skin timber integral window is visually impressive with its minimalist design, ultra-slim face widths and fully concealed integral sash.
Minimal divider views – 80 mm faceplate view and 100 mm mullion or transom view – stand for timeless design and stylish elegance.

Together with our basic depth of 79 mm, large-format glass surfaces for light-flooded rooms can be realized with narrow profile views.

The glazing bead-less, shaft-edged sash look with a face width of just 60 mm is unique for timber windows.
With reduced edge rounding [1 mm] on the inside, we meet the architects’ design requirements for the sharpest possible edges.
With our external glazing of the fixed panels in the TIMM W 79 I system, we completely dispense with glazing beads and thus with structurally critical joints and visually disruptive screw fittings on the inside.
This makes it possible to create large-format glass surfaces for light-flooded rooms with narrow profile views.

With optional milled, flush-mounted window handles and push-in handles with a minimized rosette, we are responding to architectural trends to reduce structures and functional details to the bare essentials.

Tested security, elegant, invisible and economically implemented.

Floor-to-ceiling windows that can be opened, where there is a risk of falling, require fall protection. To maintain the desired transparency, our TIMM W 79 I integral timber window has been developed to accommodate double-sided sill glazing.

Fall-protection glass balustrades can therefore be attached “invisibly” and integrated into the outer solid wood cover.

With our solution, visually disruptive overlapping of the frame profiles by attached, more expensive and framed glass balustrades is a thing of the past.

The construction is tested in accordance with DIN 18004-4 and documented with a general building authority test certificate. Of course, we verified the load-bearing capacity of the substructure and even took into account the failure of a pane of laminated safety glass.

Our timber window systems stand for maximum comfort. They impress with their ease of use, simple handling and optimum functionality.

Equipped with two seals, our timber window systems offer excellent sound insulation values and the best tightness values, even against increasingly frequent extreme weather situations.

Our self-developed third seal in the faceplate area further optimizes the tightness values against noise and driving rain on the one hand and prevents blocking (sticking together of the paintwork) on the other.

We implement very high noise protection requirements with special sound-insulating glass in insulating glass windows or with box-type or composite window constructions.

For increased living comfort, we supply our Tilt&Turn windows with integrated gap ventilation as an additional ventilation function as standard.

Anyone who builds barrier-free demonstrates foresight. Barrier-free elements allow for needs-based use in every situation.

With our TIMM W 79 I integral timber window, we offer the right solution for every need and every building situation!

Our diverse threshold variants range from the 20 mm standard threshold to the absolute zero threshold for a highly comfortable, trip-free transition between inside and outside.

The right timber window system for every thermal insulation requirement.
Our extensive system portfolio offers a selection of different construction depths and design variants to meet today’s requirements for energy-efficient buildings.

Thanks to our large construction depths, extremely narrow profile widths, the largest possible proportion of glass surfaces and thus maximum use of passive solar energy, as well as an intelligent combination of materials, we achieve outstanding thermal insulation properties, including passive house suitability, without the use of ecologically harmful insulating materials.

Timm stands for a high level of expertise in the field of security and has had a wide product range of certified security windows for decades, making us one of the few companies in Germany to be listed in the State Office of Criminal Investigation’s (LKA) list of manufacturers.

Our timber windows are already equipped with security mushroom cams and security strike plates as standard, making them difficult to pry out.

With tested burglar resistance up to RC 2, the TIMM W 79 I integral timber window meets increased burglary protection requirements.

Additional security components (alarm contacts, alarm glass, alarm mats, etc.) can be easily integrated into our windows.
