WOOD-ALUMINUM WINDOWS: UNCOMPROMISING SOLUTIONS + TIMELESS DESIGN WITH NARROW PROFILES
Hans Timm Fensterbau has been manufacturing wood-aluminum window constructions as a material combination of an outer protective weather shell and an inner wooden window for over 50 years.
Our product range can be described as the most extensive in Germany. It includes wood-aluminum constructions as insulating glass windows, composite windows and panoramic windows in different depths and various designs.
Our wood-aluminum windows are innovative window systems with very narrow face widths and clear, sharp-edged lines in line with our company slogan “Quality down to the last detail”. Technologically, our wood-aluminum systems have been among the leading systems in Germany for decades. Thanks to our continuous further development, they provide the technical answers to the constantly increasing performance requirements in terms of security, energy efficiency, comfort, accessibility and sound insulation.
There is a wide range of narrow profile cross-sections in various designs to choose from, which allow for sophisticated window and façade design, even in listed buildings. Thanks to uniquely narrow face widths and intelligent material combinations, we achieve the best thermal insulation values in the industry.
Our wood-aluminum windows were developed on a modular basis. The outer weather shell is classically made of aluminum. For special objects, it is possible to replace these with other metals. Cover shells can be designed to match the façade, e.g. in titanium-zinc, architectural bronze, brass, copper or stainless steel. It is also possible to provide the construction with an outer resistant wooden shell to create an integral wooden window. Pure ecology!

WOODEN WINDOWS – PRODUCT ADVANTAGES
New standards throughout Germany with new generation of wooden windows
With the completion of our “Wooden windows of the future” investment program, all of our wooden window systems have undergone a technical overhaul. With our new timber window generation “3 PLUS 8“, we are setting new standards throughout Germany – developed with leading testing institutes and experts. See for yourself the many small technical details that make timber windows more durable.
Impressively narrow profiles
Thanks to our long-standing commitment to the protection of listed buildings, our timber windows have the narrowest face widths as standard for insulating glass windows, composite windows and box-type windows, making them visual highlights for design-oriented architects and planners in new buildings.
Closed parapet joint – visual highlight and constructive wood protection
All our timber windows are designed with a closed sill joint. Architects and conservationists value the design of the closed sill joint as a visual highlight, as it enhances the appearance of the wooden window compared to the so-called industrial joint, which is perceived as disruptive.
This visual enhancement of the view is also continued in all miter, transom and mullion connections.
In addition, the closed sill joint improves the durability of our timber windows compared to the industry-standard windows with an industrial joint, as the so-called “open V-joint” is considered a weak point of the timber window.
Perfect surfaces
We see windows as a piece of furniture and so the surface quality of our windows is a matter close to our hearts. We put a huge amount of effort into producing the highest quality surfaces, which are popular and well-known with clients and architects alike. It starts with the right choice of wood, continues with the right choice of tools, the humidification of our production facilities for the right wood moisture content and ends with the optimum preparation of the wood for coating our wooden windows. A high-quality paint treatment with products from the leading paint manufacturer, intermediate sanding by hand and a final visual inspection on delivery round off our paint coating process. See the surfaces of our wooden windows for yourself.
The variety of our wooden windows is unique
Our range of wooden windows is unique in Germany. In Berlin, we manufacture wooden window constructions in construction depths of 38, 56, 68, 90 and 97 mm. We manufacture wooden single windows, wooden insulating glass windows, wooden composite windows, wooden box-type window constructions and wooden lift-and-slide doors on state-of-the-art CNC systems.
Listed windows – a special feature
Thanks to our many years of successful cooperation with conservationists, the reproduction of historical single-pane timber windows, timber composite windows and the old Berlin box-type window for listed buildings has always been a high priority in our product range. Various awards and our references impressively demonstrate our qualities in the field of listed windows.
Wooden windows of the highest quality from state-of-the-art production facilities
The production of our wooden windows takes place in specially humidified rooms in our Plant 3 in Berlin using state-of-the-art, automated CNC machine line technology and with the exceptional craftsmanship of our employees. Our machinery and tool technology are leading in Europe and ensure our standard high quality. They also give us extremely high flexibility and capacity for all types of orders. Convince yourself of the quality and visit us.
Sound insulation, thermal insulation and burglary protection
We are completely independent when it comes to advising clients, architects and planners and, as a self-manufacturing window manufacturer, we can produce the right timber window construction or timber window combination to suit the respective requirements of the property and the wishes of our customers.
The combination of high requirements for both winter and summer thermal insulation, increased sound insulation requirements and security aspects in terms of burglary protection represent a challenge that we can meet perfectly with our wooden windows.
With our range of timber windows, we can meet thermal insulation requirements up to passive house suitability, sound insulation requirements up to sound insulation class 5 and security requirements up to RC 4 classification. We can also manufacture bullet-proof wooden windows.
